Slug (born September 7, 1972 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ; real life Sean Michael Daley ) is an American rapper . He became known as a member of the hip-hop group Atmosphere, in which he has been active with producer Ant since 1994. He is also known under the name Sep Seven. Slug is a co-founder of the Minnesota hip-hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment .

biography

Daley was born to Valerie and Dylan Sorenson. He got the nickname from his father, who was called Sluggo and therefore called his son little Sluggo. This later shortened Daley to Slug. Before he became known, he made a lot of music with the rapper Nic Lehnertz , who Slug said was an important factor in his rise in the rap scene. After graduating from school, Nic Lehnertz stopped rapping and Slug teamed up with rapper Spawn and founded the band Atmosphere, in which Slug did not rap at first, but worked as a DJ . The duo collaborated more and more often with the producer Ant, who then joined the group.
