Micheal Larsen (born November 9, 1981 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA ; † October 16, 2010 ), stage name Eyedea , was an American freestyle and underground rapper .

After some successes in the freestyle scene in the USA and the cooperation with Atmosphere , numerous recordings were made in which Larsen participated. His main work consists of the collaboration with the American DJ DJ Abilities (Gregory Keltgen) as Eyedea & Abilities , whose first album First Born was released in 2001.

Eyedea was a member of the improvisational jazz group Face Candy, together with rapper Kristoff Krane, bassist Casey O'Brien and drummer JT Bates, as well as the rap group The Orphanage together with Aesop Rock , Illogic , Blueprint and Slug .

He died on October 16, 2010 of a drug overdose. Almost all of his albums were released by Rhymesayers Entertainment .
