The way you are received mostly positive reviews. Hip-hop magazine Juice praised the content and the music video. MoTrip is "one of the few rappers who prove that rap can also be romantic."
Laura Sprenger from Laut.de writes that the song is “a little cheesy”, “but in reality it simply turns out to be beautiful.” In addition, “conjures up” from “the lightness of the sound and the equally pleasant singing voice despite all sword courage [ sic! ] always a spark of hope ”.
