Soda Stereo was an Argentine rock band that in 1982 in Buenos Aires was founded. It consisted of the guitarist and singer Gustavo Cerati , the bassist Zeta Bosio and the drummer Charly Alberti. The band has won numerous awards in its history and is considered one of the most influential and important rock bands in Argentina.

The music of Soda Stereos is characterized by the voice of Gustavo Cerati, spherical guitar sounds, catchy melodies and poetic texts. Stylistically, Soda Stereo can be classified in the area of New Wave and Alternative Rock . To this day, the band is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed rock groups in Latin America. In addition to numerous studio albums and singles, four live albums (including MTV Unplugged ) were released.

In 1997, Soda Stereo separated due to different artistic views. In June 2007 it was announced that from October of the same year - ten years after their last live performance - they would be reuniting some concerts.
