Soham Al-Suadi

Soham Al-Suadi (* 1980 in Berlin ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

From 2000 to 2003 she studied human medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin and from 2003 to 2008 Protestant theology in Berlin, Neuendettelsau and Basel , where she obtained a Master of Theology in 2008 . From 2008 to 2010 she was a doctoral candidate in the SNSF project “Table communities. Places of religious practice and identity in Judaism at the time of the Second Temple and in early Christianity ”with Ekkehard W. Stegemann at the Theological Faculty of Basel. After receiving his doctorate in 2010 as a Dr. theol. through the Theological Faculty of the University of Basel , she became assistant to Kurt Erlemann , New Testament and Old Church, University of Wuppertal in 2011 . From 2012 to 2016 she was assistant to Rainer Hirsch-Luipold , New Testament, Theological Faculty of the University of Bern . After her habilitation in 2015 and Venia Docendi for New Testament, University of Bern with the habilitation thesis Inspiration and Interpretation - Synchronous literary motif interpretation of speech inspired by the spirit in the Gospel of Luke , from 2015 she was the theological project manager of the Protestant Reformed regional churches of German-speaking Switzerland in the wtb project center from 2015 . In the 2015 winter semester she represented Markus Öhler's chair for the New Testament at the University of Vienna . Eckart Reinmuth represented her in the 2017 summer semester at the chair for New Testament in Rostock . Since July 2017 she has been teaching as professor for the New Testament at the University of Rostock .

Her main research interests are theology and exegesis of the New Testament with a focus on Pauline Letters and Gospels, social and cultural science exegesis of the New Testament with a focus on ancient grinding culture and hermeneutics and methodology.
