Live and act

Sinopoulos, who grew up in Athens, first learned to play classical guitar. He also sang in the children's choir and was taught Byzantine music and traditional folk songs. In the next few years he worked in various genres, from folk music to jazz to contemporary art music. He took part in concerts in many parts of the world, for example with Charles Lloyd and Maria Farantouri ; he can also be heard on albums by the Orchestra of Colors and by Loreena McKennitt , Eleni Karaindrou , Katerina Papadopoulou and Ara Dinkjian .

After meeting the pianist Yann Keerim, Sinopoulos founded his own quartet in 2011, which initially devoted itself to the interpretation of Greek folk melodies before turning to contemporary music, which Sinopoulos composed himself; the group's debut album was released in 2015 on ECM Records .
