The 2015 Solheim Cup is a golf tournament from 18 to 20 September 2015 at the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot in Baden-Württemberg St. Leon-Rot took place. For the first time, this continental comparison between the USA and Europe in professional women’s golf was held in Germany . The USA won the cup with a result of 14½: 13½ points.

The largest and most important team tournament in women's golf takes place every two years, alternating between the USA and Europe.

The St. Leon-Rot Golf Club in Baden-Württemberg was able to oppose several golf clubs and others in the application process . a. from the Czech Republic, Spain and Great Britain. This was the first time that the Solheim Cup took place in Germany. Other major tournaments such as the Deutsche Bank / SAP Open in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2004 have already taken place in St. Leon-Rot.

PING Junior Solheim Cup

For the first time in the history of the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup (PJSC) took place in advance on the same facility as the Solheim Cup.

The PJSC competitions took place on September 14th and 15th, 2015. Like the Solheim Cup, the tournament is a team match play competition between Europe and the USA in which each team plays with the best 12 female golfers between the ages of 12 and 18. The aim of the PING Junior Solheim Cup is to enable new golf careers and to promote future golf stars.
