The Solidarity – People Before Profit ( Irish Dlúthphartíocht – Pobal Roimh Bhrabús , German : “Solidarity - People Before Profit”) formerly the Anti-Austerity Alliance – People Before Profit is an Irish alliance of parties between Solidarity , People Before Profit (PBP) and RISE . He represents basic socialist and Trotskyist attitudes.

history

In 2016 , the party association founded in 2015 first ran for elections for Dáil Éireann , but was already represented there in the previous legislative period by MPs from the Socialist Party , which stands behind Solidarity, and MPs from the PBP. A policy paper was presented for the elections. However, both Solidarity and the PBP published different election programs, so that it can be assumed that the two parties have different accents. Solidarity-PBP became the fifth strongest force, winning 6 out of 158 seats in the Dáil Éireann.

Since September 2019, the alliance also includes the unregistered party RISE founded by Paul Murphy .
