Solomon Mamaloni

Solomon Mamaloni ( 1943 - January 11, 2000 ) was a Solomon politician and three times Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands : from August 31, 1981 to November 19, 1984, from March 28, 1989 to June 18, 1993 and from November 7 1994 to August 27, 1997. Before that he was chief minister of the Solomon Islands from 1974 to 1976, when the Solomon Islands were still under British rule.

Mamaloni was the leader of the People's Progressive Party , sometimes known as the National Unity Group , from the 1970s to 1997 .
