Manasseh Sogavare (born January 17, 1955 ) is a Solomon politician and since 2019 the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands for the fourth time .

Sogavare was Prime Minister from June 30, 2000 to December 17, 2001 and for a second term from May 4, 2006, until he was overthrown on December 13, 2007 by a vote of no confidence with 25 to 22 votes. He is a member of the Solomon Social Credit Party (Socred) and relied on a five-party coalition in parliament during his reign .

After the tsunami in Gizo in April 2007, he declared a state of emergency there.

From December 9, 2014 to November 15, 2017, Sogavare was Prime Minister for the third time.
