Solomon Isak Pasi ( Bulgarian Соломон Исак Паси ; born December 22, 1956 in Plovdiv ) is a Bulgarian NDSW politician, former Bulgarian Foreign Minister , and a doctorate in mathematics . Since July 8, 2007, he has also been a special advisor to the Macedonian government of Nikola Gruevski in the field of NATO integration.

Life

Solomon Pasi was born in Plovdiv in the family of the well-known Bulgarian philosophy and ethics professor Isak Pasi . In 1979 he completed his mathematics studies at Sofia University . In 1985 he completed his doctorate in mathematical logic and computer science at the same university and was awarded a doctorate.

In 1991 he founded the non-governmental organization Atlantic Club, which had set itself the goal of a faster entry of Bulgaria into the Euro-Atlantic structures. Solomon Pasi was chairman of this organization between 1992 and 2001.

From 2001 to 2005, Pasi was Foreign Minister in the liberal government of Simeon Sakskoburggotski .

In August 2005 Solomon Pasi was elected chairman of the parliamentary commission for foreign affairs. In the same year, the Passy Peak was named after him, a mountain on Livingston Island in Antarctica.

His first marriage to Binka Peewa had two sons and a daughter. In 2007 they divorced. On February 14, 2009, Solomon Pasi married the chairwoman of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy in the Bulgarian parliament and NDSW politician and former minister Gergana Grantscharowa .
