The Solterberg is a mountain with a height of 196 m above sea level. NN in Vlotho . The mountain is located in the east of the district Exter and south of the creek salts . Naturally, it belongs to the Weser Uplands and the Lipper Mountains . To the north is the Steinegge , to the east is the Eiberg .
The Solterberg was first mentioned in writing after 1533 as Solter Berch .
The south side borders on the Wüsten district of the city of Bad Salzuflen. In this former border area between Prussia and Lippe, there was a lot of smuggling (including salt) at the time.
