The Steinegge is a mountain in Vlotho in East Westphalia in the Herford district . The stone burrow reaches a height of 255.5  m above sea level. NN and lies in the transition area between Ravensberger Hügelland and Lipper Bergland .

The Steinegge was first mentioned in writing as Steynecke after 1533 . The part of the name Egge denotes an elongated ridge in the Low German language area . At the Steinegge the Werre tributaries originate salts and Mittelbach . There is a radio tower on the Steinegge. The Steinegge valley bridge, which is part of the Federal Motorway 2, is named after the Steinegge . South-east of the summit, the mountain suddenly drops into the French hollow.
