The Faroe Islands sent an athlete to the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London . The swimmer Ragnvaldur Jensen (* 1989) was the only athlete to wear the Merkið , the flag of the Faroe Islands, at the opening ceremony. It was the country’s eighth summer Paralympic participation since 1984.
