Denmark senta team of 28 athletesto the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London . From the Disabled Sports Association Dansk Handicap Idræts-Forbund as flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the table tennis player and was gold medalist of 2008 , Pete Rose Meier (* 1984), selected for which it is the third Paralympics Participation in a row. The Dannebrog at the closing ceremony was held by swimmer Jonas Larsen , who swam five personal bests during the games and set a new national record for the 100 m freestyle in his class. For the association, the yield of five medals was an acceptable level, even if seven medals had been thought possible before the games.

Success Bonuses

Before the Games, Team Danmark decided to increase the Paralympics medal winners' bonuses to DKK 50,000 for a gold medal and DKK 17,500 for a bronze medal (it would have been DKK 35,000 for a silver medal).
