In the summer 2012 Paralympics in London in were sailing medals awarded in three competitions. The decisions were made from September 1 to 6, 2012 at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

Classes

At the Paralympic sailing competitions, a distinction was only made between classes in order to ensure the team's balance. The athletes were classified according to the degree of disability with up to seven points, with seven points being awarded to the less disabled athletes. The classification was different depending on the discipline.

One-man keelboat 2.4mR All sailors must have a minimum handicap or a greater handicap, as stipulated in the statutes of the FCS 2008-12.
Two-man keelboat SKUD 18 The couple should consist of at least one woman, and one of the sailors should have a maximum of 1–2 points (severe disability).
Three-man keelboat sonar Three sailors were not allowed to exceed a total of 14 points.

Results

A total of 80 athletes took part in the Paralympic sailing competitions. Women and men started mixed in the three trips.

One-man keelboat ( 2.4mR )

An eleventh race was omitted. The placement corresponded to the number of points that the sailors received for a race. The two worst placements were deleted, the rest added, so that the final value was created.
