Iceland sent a team of four athletes to the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in London - two women and two men. The only medal winner was the swimmer Jón Margeir Sverrisson , who set a new world record in his class (S14) with a time of 1: 59.62 min over 200 meters freestyle and thus won.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Helgi Sveinsson .
