Iceland took five athletes at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in China's Beijing in part.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Jón Oddur Halldórsson . He was also the most successful participant of the Icelandic team with a fifth place over 100 meters in the T35 class.
