France took the 130 athletes 2008 Summer Paralympics in China's Beijing in part.

This made the team one of the countries with the most athletes. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Assia El'Hannouni . She was also the most successful participant with two gold and two silver medals each.
