Song Su-gwŏn (born March 15, 1940 in Kohŭng , Zenra-nandō , Chōsen ; † April 4, 2016 ) was a South Korean poet .

Life

Song Su-gwŏn was born on March 15, 1940 in Kohŭng , Jeollanam-do . He attended Sunch'ŏn University and graduated in creative writing from the Sorabol College of Art . Bitterness is the feeling in his works that stands out the most. But his poetry does not emphasize the typical feeling of weak bitterness that arouses self-contempt, but rather a dignified masculine personality of immanent intimacy and power. He has published several works that successfully preserve the taste and style of the southern dialect, which is intended to inspire readers through an awareness of history and regional differences.
