Sons of Gastarbeita ( SOG for short ) is a rap formation from the Ruhr area that has existed since 1994. In addition to their music, the band has gained notoriety primarily through their special commitment against racism , for which they have received several awards.

Two rappers are musically supported by drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and a backing singer .
Career
Numerous concerts in Germany and Europe since its foundation made the Sons Of Gastarbeita a hot spot. The SOG, which serves a wide range of musical styles, was on stage with musicians as diverse as Garbage , Die Fantastischen Vier , Herbert Grönemeyer , Fettes Brot , DJ Bobo , Brothers Keepers and Reinhard Mey . The band participating in social and youth projects (they are co-providers of "RAP-School") had an influence on the success of Grup Tekkan .
In addition to their own CD productions at Kleff , songs by the musicians have also appeared on samplers from other record companies (including BMG ).
