Sopiko Guramishvili  ( Georgian : სოფიკო გურამიშვილი; born January 1, 1991 in Tbilisi ) is a  Georgian chess player . She holds the FIDE title of Women's Grand Master (2009) and International Master (2012). She participated in the 2015 and 2017 World Women's Chess Championships . She has been playing for the Dutch Chess Federation since September 2019.

Guramishvili won in 2006 in Batumi , the Chess World Youth Championship Girls U-16th

In her first participation in the 2015 Women's World Chess Championship , she was eliminated in the first round against her compatriot Lela Javachishvili , and at the 2017 World Cup she reached the third round, where she was finally defeated by D. Harika .

She plays for SK Schwäbisch Hall in the German women's league . She won the Dutch Meester class in the 2015/16 season with En Passant Bunschoten-Spakenburg . In Belgium she plays for L'Echiquier Amaytois and in Spain for CE Barberà. In the Austrian Bundesliga , Guramishvili played for Wüstenrot SIR Salzburg in the 2010/11 season , in the 2013 Chinese team championship for Qinhuangdao Evening News and in 2019 for Guangdong Shenzhen Longgang .

Private

She has been married to the Dutch grandmaster Anish Giri since 2015 . Their son was born in October 2016.
