Sorin Ioan Paraschiv (born June 17, 1981 in Alexandria , Teleorman County ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 225 games in the Romanian League 1 and the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha . In 2001, 2005 and 2006 he won the Romanian championship with Steaua Bucharest .

Career

Paraschiv began his career in the youth department of Steaua Bucharest . On May 10, 2000, he made his debut in Divizia A , when he was in the 3-0 win against FC Extensiv Craiova on the field. In 2007 he moved to Rimini Calcio in the Italian Serie B for 500,000 euros . He signed a contract until 2011. On August 25, 2007, he made his Serie B debut when he played in a 0-0 draw against FC Bologna . In the summer of 2009 Paraschiv moved to the reigning Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni on a free transfer . He left this in August 2010 and joined Volyn Lutsk in the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha . His guest appearance ended in summer 2011. Paraschiv initially did not find a new club and hired at the beginning of 2012 with the Romanian second division club Farul Constanța . In the summer of 2012, CS Concordia Chiajna took him under contract in Liga 1. With his new club, he had to relegate to League II at the end of the season , but managed to stay in class at the green table. At the end of August 2013, he moved to the lower class Juventus Bascov. There he ended his active career a year later.

Paraschiv played his first international match against Andorra in 2004 , which Romania won 5-1.
