Sosias painter
The Sosias painter (active around 500 BC ) was an Attic vase painter whose name is no longer known today . It owes its emergency name to the bowl F 2278 signed by the potter Sosias in the Berlin Collection of Antiquities . Stylistically, the Sosias painter is close to the late Euphronios , so that one can assume that he was working in his immediate environment. It is therefore one of the so-called pioneer groups . In addition to the Berlin bowl , he also painted the small stand F 2315 , which is also located in Berlin.
