The Southgate Hockey Club is an English hockey club from north London . The club was founded in 1886 and plays at Southgate Hockey Center in Trent Park near Oakwood. Southgate won the English Cup with his men in 1975, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988. At this time no national championship was played. In the premier season of the England Hockey League in 1989, the club celebrated its only championship to date. Internationally, the club became known by winning the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup in 1976 , 1977 and 1978. In the 2008/2009 season, the team was relegated from the bottom of the league table.
