The Southwind Passage is a navigable strait off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It separates the Betbeder Islands in the southern Wilhelm Archipelago from the north to the Biscoe Islands belonging Dickens Rocks .
Sumner Raymond Dolber (1924-2015), captain of the United States Coast Guard , named it after the icebreaker USCGC Southwind , with which he sailed the passage in the summer months between 1967 and 1968.
