Soccer

The football team rose to the 1950/51 season in what was then the second highest division, the Landesliga Rheinland . There the team finished the season with 27:33 points in tenth place.

First phase in the amateur league

Raised from the second amateur league, the team then took part in the then third-class amateur league Rhineland for the first time in the 1954/55 season . There the first season could be finished with 30:26 points in fourth place. In the next season , the team ended up only in 11th place with 26:30 points. For the 1956/57 season , the league was divided into two seasons, while Eintracht was incorporated into the East season . With ninth place and 18:26 points in the table, the team ended up only in one of the lower places. For the 1958/59 season , the team then moved within the league to the West Season and finished its first season there with 20:28 points in eighth place. In the next season , the team was then back in the East relay and closed the table there with 22:30 points again in 11th place. After the next season , Eintracht was after a long time with 25:23 points again with fifth place in the upper half of the table. After that, however, it was no longer possible to achieve such a high ranking on the table. After the 1962/63 season , the league became single-track again and due to the ninth place within its squadron, the team finally rose again to the 2nd amateur league .

Second phase in the amateur league

After ten years of abstinence, the team rose again for the 1972/73 season from the second to the first amateur league Rhineland. With 23:27 points, the team immediately rose again due to the 14th place.

For the first time in the 1975/76 season, the team was able to qualify for the DFB Cup . In the first main round they even managed a 4: 3 win against SV Spielberg . After the second main round , Arminia Bielefeld won 5-1 . Another rise was achieved in the 1976/77 season , in which you could hold the league in the end with 13th place and 23:37 points. After the next season , the league was then split up. Due to the 16th and last place in the table at the end of the season, the club even had to continue two leagues below and was relegated back to the 2nd amateur league.

On June 10, 2002, the club merged with VfL Höhr-Grenzhausen to form the new SportFreunde Höhr-Grenzhausen club .
