Sparda Art Prize NRW
Since 2005, the Sparda-Kunstpreis NRW has usually been advertised once a year as an art competition and implemented by the respective award winner. This competition for art in public space has been sponsored by the Art, Culture and Social Foundation of Sparda-Bank West since 2005 .
The award is announced annually within the Foundation's sphere of activity, which supposedly covers almost all of North Rhine-Westphalia. Award-winning works of art should, if they are realized, go as a gift to the municipalities in whose territory the competition was held, such as B. in Düsseldorf , Dortmund , Wuppertal , Grevenbroich , Essen , Hagen , Paderborn , Aachen , Cologne and Recklinghausen . The prize is usually endowed with € 100,000.
