The savings bank of the Homburg communities was founded in 1901 . Its name goes back to the former imperial rule of Homburg , on whose territory the special purpose associations are located. Originally, the communities of Bielstein and Marienberghausen were also charitable associations, but they have not been independent since the local government reform of 1969 .
