Special Delivery is a 1978 Canadian animated short film directed by John Weldon and Eunice Macaulay .

action

When Alice goes to her judo lesson , she reminds her husband Ralph to clear the snow on the path to the house. Ralph ignores them and on his return to the house finds the postman dead on his doorstep - he slipped on the smooth path and broken his neck . The pain and suffering costs for a dead postman on striking Ralph hides the man at his home, puts on his stuff to the rest of the post discharge, and leaves the house. When Alice comes home, she finds the naked postman with whom she once had an affair and drives him to his apartment. She thinks he's just drunk, so she lays him in his bed and only realizes he's dead when they kiss goodbye. Since she thinks that Ralph murdered him because of the affair and is now buying a pistol to murder her too, she leaves town and lives under a false name from now on.

Ralph returns home from his post tour but has no keys with him, which are in his own clothes in the house. When he tries to break into his own house, the police arrest him. The Postman's Union pays his bail, and Ralph returns home and burns the postman's clothes. When the burglary proceedings begin again, they go to the postman in his apartment and find him dead. The coroner concludes that the postman must have dreamed of hanging himself and that a reflex while sleeping caused the broken neck. The procedure is settled. After a while, Ralph decides not to worry about the dead man or his missing wife. He lives on peacefully and has never cleared the way to his house from snow in the future.
