Spider Player , developed by VIT Software is a freeware - / Shareware - media player for Microsoft Windows .
It supports many audio formats , can play and record Internet radio and can handle ripping and transcoding functions.

Spider Player uses the "BASS audio library" from Un4seen Developments and its extensions for sound reproduction as well as some functions of other players.

Spider Player 2.4 was available in two versions: the free "Basic" version and the paid "Pro" version, which offers additional functions. The Pro version is now also freely available.

The author has since stopped developing the program. The last version 2.5.3 can be activated for the PRO version with a code published on the homepage. This allows, among other things, an unlimited recording.
