As Spitztälispitz (also: Spitztälespitz , 1730  m above sea level , sometimes also indicated as 1720 m above sea level or 1775 m above sea level ) is a mountain in the Rätikon , part of the so-called Galina group , which on the municipality of Frastanz and Nenzing is located.

Surname

Spitztälispitz is a combination of Spitztäli and -spitz . Spitztäli or Spitztäle is a field name used in this area for the Spitztäli (valley) or for the Spitztäle hunting lodge (about 1545  m above sea level ). In addition, the field names : Spitzfräscha , Spitzwiesle and Spitzwald are used in the immediate vicinity .

location

The Spitztälispitz is a little prominent elevation of the Galina Group (also: Galingrat) in the Rätikon. The foothills of the Galina group stretch to the market town of Frastanz (one of the last elevations is the Stutzberg ).

The vegetation consists of dense grass and some shrubs and fir trees etc. The summit is only partially free of vegetation.

Adjacent peaks and notches or Alps

Seen in a north-easterly direction, about 600 meters as the crow flies, is the Gäwasheilspitz ( 1778  m above sea level ) and about 750 m as the crow flies, the Gurtisspitze ( 1778  m above sea level ). In a south-westerly direction (850 m as the crow flies), a little away from the ridge then the Goppaschrofen ( 1781  m above sea level ). The Hohe Köpfe are located about 1400 m ( 2040  m above sea level (with summit cross) and 2066  m above sea level ) to the south. To the south-east under the Spitztälispitz, about 850 m as the crow flies, is the Sattelalpe ( 1383  m above sea level ).

hike

The Spitztälispitz can be easily reached via relatively good hiking trails and is located on the main hiking trail over the Galina ridge. Immediately before the short ascent to the Spitztälispitz branches off at the "Spitzwiesle" ( 1720  m above sea level ) a direct descent route to the Sattelalpe.

  • From Gurtis via the Bazora-Alpe to the Gurtisspitze and zäwasheilspitz (Wisle) to the Spitztälispitz with a descent to the Sattelalpe back to Gurtis ( 904  m above sea level ): Walking time: 4½ to 5½ hours.
  • Gurtis via the Bazora-Alpe to the Gurtisspitze, zäwasheilspitz ( Wisle ), Spitzwiesle, Spitztälespitz, Hohe Köpf, Galinaalp, Sattelalp, Gurtis: walking time: about 8 to 12 hours.
