Sporta Guatemala X Torneo Internacional PSA Sporta 2017

The Sporta Guatemala X Torneo Internacional PSA Sporta 2017 took place from May 24th to 27th, 2017 in Guatemala City , Guatemala . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2016/17 and belonged to the PSA 50 category .

Last year's winner was Borja Golán , who had to retire injured in his first round match against Yip Tsz-Fung . Abouelghar decided the final between the two Egyptians Mohamed Abouelghar and Zahed Mohamed with 11: 6, 11: 5 and 11: 3.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which are reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Josué Enríquez a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 50,000.
