The Sportfreunde Daaden 1911 eV are a German football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Daaden within the community of Daaden-Herdorf in the district of Altenkirchen (Westerwald) .
history
Founded until World War II
The club was founded on April 4, 1911 under the name Football Club Adler 1911 Daaden . From 1921 to 1923 the sports club merged briefly with the Daadener Turnverein . In 1924 the merger with "Germania" Biersdorf followed to form the new association Daadetaler Sportfreunde 1911 Daaden . In the same year as well as in 1929, the championship and thus promotion to the district class succeeded.
post war period
The first team rose to the 1950/51 season in the then second-class Landesliga Rheinland . With 26:34 points, the class could then be held over the eleventh place. After the next season they ended up in twelfth place with 25:35 points, which meant they could not qualify for the amateur league Rhineland, which was introduced for the next season, and thus had to continue in the now fourth-class 2nd amateur league. For the 1954/55 season they still managed to climb up to the amateur league of Rhineland, with 26:30 points they placed ninth in the table at the end of the season. After the next season , with 11:45 points, it was the last of the table but it was over again. In 1959 the members from Biersdorf broke away from the Daadeners.

Due to personal problems and a lack of players, the club then founded a game community with clubs from Biersdorf and Niederdreisbach . In the 2002/03 season, the SG played in the district league A Westerwald / Sieg and took eleventh place in the table with 32 points, so the team had to relegate to the district league B for the next season. Due to a restructuring of the leagues it came about that the subordinate league now became the district league A, here the team now placed second with 57 points. After that, however, it was no longer possible to attack at the front, after the 2008/09 season you had to be relegated to the district league B as the bottom of the table with only 20 points. Only after the 2014/15 season won the championship again with 53 points and returned to the district league A. Since then, the SG has been able to hold its own in this division.
