The LAK-19 is a glider manufactured by the Lithuanian manufacturer UAB Sportinė Aviacija.
The LAK-19 is a high performance glider for the standard class / 18 meter class . It was derived from the LAK-17a - the flaps were frozen in neutral position, the fuselage-wing transition was adjusted. There were also winglets for the 15 m version or clip-on wings for 18 m span.
construction
The LAK-19 is a middle-decker in fiber composite construction with retractable landing gear and water ballast tanks in the wings. It is certified according to JAR22 category "U". The fuselage is made of plastic reinforced with aramid , carbon and glass fibers. The single wing weighs approx. 55 kg and has a LAP92-130 / 15 profile that merges into a LAP92-150 / 15 up to the wing tip. The LAK-19 has automatic rudder connections (similar to DG ), an instrument panel that can be folded up with the hood and a sprung landing gear, which is only optionally available with a hydraulically operated disc brake. The water ballast system holds 180 L in the wing and 7 L in the rear tank. For emergency hood release, there is a central hood release handle above the instrument panel. All LAK gliders are provided with a PU coating as standard.
Approvals
The LAK-19 received the German type certification on September 26, 2003 and the EASA type certification on August 5, 2004 (A.012 LAK-19). Previously approved operating time: 3000 hours (EASA November 6, 2008). Manufacturer's guarantee two years or 200 flight hours - whichever comes first.
