The Sprague River is a tributary of the Williamson River in southwest Oregon . The two headwaters, about 50 km in length, both have their source in southwest Lake County . They unite 58 km northeast of the town of Klamath Falls .
The Sprague River flows through an arid volcanic plateau. Its main tributary is the Sycan River . This flows near the town of Beatty into the middle reaches of the Sprague. At Chiloquin , just a few kilometers east of Upper Klamath Lake , the Sprague River flows into the Williamson River. The river is known for trout fishing .
