Springer Peak

The Springer Peak is a 1460  m high rocky peak in the Ellsworth Mountains of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the heritage range, it rises at the northern end of the Webers Peaks .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Michael J. Springer, who in the summer months at the turn of the year 1965 / In 1966 the United States Navy was involved in the creation of aerial photographs over Marie-Byrd-Land and Ellsworthland.
