The shoot Holding AG , based in Zurich is in the areas of gardening and landscaping , Dumpsters and disposal as well as real estate operating Swiss group of companies.
The family business was founded in 1892 as a market gardening company and expanded into a diversified group between 1946 and 2004, particularly under the management of Werner H. Spross . After his death, his nephew Heinz Spross took over management of the company. The group of companies currently employs 160 people and, according to an estimate by the trade newspaper, generated 360 million Swiss francs in 2003 .
Field of activity
The gardening and landscaping sector is handled by the subsidiary Spross Ga-La-Bau . It includes the new construction, renovation, changes and maintenance of private, commercial and public gardens , green roofs and, in hydraulic engineering, the creation of ponds , biotopes , streams and other water features . The company is also active in the construction and maintenance of leisure facilities and sports fields . Spross also runs its own tree nurseries .
The Dumpster Service and Waste Management division, which is provided by the Debag Zurich subsidiary , focuses on construction site disposal . This includes dump service, bulky goods disposal, waste sorting, construction waste recycling and landfill management . Debag has its own sorting and recycling plant for this purpose, as well as its own reactor and waste disposal site.
In the real estate sector , the Spross Group is active in real estate management and has residential properties, commercial space and shopping centers in the Zurich area. On the other hand, it is active in the construction industry through the Platanus Group, which it holds in the majority .
