The municipal vocational school in Augsburg is one of two schools for the upper vocational level in Augsburg and only offers the technical branch .
history
The school was established in its current form in 1997 as part of a structural reform in which all other branches of the school were transferred to the state technical college and vocational college in Augsburg . Until then, the entire upper secondary school system in Augsburg had been in municipal hands.
entry requirements
Entry into the 12th grade of the municipal vocational school requires a secondary school leaving certificate and a completed vocational training or at least five years of professional experience in the field of training. In addition, access can also be achieved by successfully passing an 11th grade, known as the “ preliminary class ”, with which the secondary school leaving certificate is awarded.
graduation
At the end of the 12th grade, the advanced technical college entrance qualification can be acquired, the completion of the 13th grade leads to the subject-related higher education entrance qualification , with which one can study at technical colleges and in certain subjects at universities . The general higher education entrance qualification can also be acquired after the 13th grade by taking an additional examination in the elective French and another foreign language.
Course offer
The courses on offer include chemistry , German , English , ethics or religion , history , mathematics , physics , social studies , technology and computer science . For the pupils who are aiming for the general university entrance qualification, French , Latin or Spanish are offered as elective subjects .
