Stéphan Elmas

Stéphan Elmas (originally: Elmassian , born December 24, 1864 in Smyrna , Ottoman Empire , † August 11, 1937 in Geneva ) was a composer and pianist of Armenian origin.
Elmas studied piano with Anton Door and composition with Franz Krenn in Vienna . He went on concert tours as a pianist and finally settled in Geneva in 1911. In 1925 he became an honorary citizen of Geneva.
He composed four piano concertos , a piano quartet , four piano sonatas and salon pieces for the piano.
