Stéphane Gillet (born August 20, 1977 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg former football player and goalkeeper of the Luxembourg national football team .

Career

society

Stéphane Gillet began his career in Luxembourg at FC Marisca Mersch , before joining the youth team at Standard Liège ( Belgium ) in 1994 before returning to FC Spora Luxembourg in the 1st Luxembourg League, the national division, in 1998 .

In 1999, Gillet was signed by SV Elversberg ( Regionalliga Süd , Germany). At the beginning of the 2000/01 season he moved to Paris Saint-Germain , where he only played in the reserve team. Only one appearance in the UEFA Cup on November 1, 2001 at SK Rapid Wien (2: 2) he can record in the professional team.

In January 2004 he moved to FC Wil in the second Swiss league for half a season , but did not appear in the first team and went back to Union Luxembourg .

After another year at Racing FC Union Luxembourg , Gillet moved to the 4th English division at Chester City in early 2006 . However, the contract was quickly terminated and Gillet moved back to Luxembourg for Racing FC. After a stopover at Jeunesse Esch , he ended his career at Sporting Club Steinfort in 2010 .

National team

Between October 2000 and November 2006 Gillet completed 20 games for his country's senior team.

rugby

From 2010 to 2016 he was a player in the Rugby Club Luxembourg , which competed in Germany. He played games in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bundesliga.
