Career

The defender began his professional career in 1996 at Stade Laval and played in 140 league games by the summer of 2000. This was followed in July 2000 by a move to Ligue 1 for Lille OSC , where he developed into a top performer. With this he also played in the UEFA Champions League . In 2004 an offer from Paris Saint-Germain followed , which he then accepted. In 2006 he won the French Cup with the capital club . In his two years at PSG he made 57 appearances before joining FC Sochaux . With this team he also won the French Cup in 2007 . On June 30, 2009 Pochot then signed a two-year contract with the then second division team Racing Strasbourg . In 2010 he was relegated to the third division with the club.

The resurgence with Racing failed. On July 11, 2011, Stéphane Pichot signed in Belgium with Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz , the successor club to the insolvent Excelsior Mouscron . Here he ended his active career after the 2013/14 season.
