history

The Störtebeker was built in 1969 at the Husum shipyard and delivered to the Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei Föhr-Amrum on June 12, 1969 .

In 1972 it was extended from 26.75 m to 30.50 m at the Husum shipyard, which increased its capacity from 140 to 202 passengers. In 1999 the ship was equipped for adventure tours in the North Frisian Wadden Sea.

In 2008 the Störtebeker was launched in Wyk auf Föhr and finally sold to Rijf Shipping in the Netherlands in 2009. There she operated under the old name with Heimathafen Terschelling . In 2011 it was sold to Lauwersoog Water Events BV; it is used from Lauwersoog for excursions.

From 2019, the Störtebeker will be used for excursions from the island of Borkum and will replace the coat of arms of Borkum there .
