The Stølsnostinden is a 2074 moh. high mountain in Norway . It is located in the province of Vestland and belongs to the municipality of Årdal . The notch height is about 665 to 670 m. The dominance to the next higher mountain, the Uranostinden , is 5.44 km. The Stølsnosbreen glacier stretches around the summit . In addition to the main summit of Stølsnostinden, there are also two secondary summits, the Midtre and Austre Stølsnostinden , which, however, are counted as independent mountains or summits due to their notch heights of over 50 m each.
The first ascent took place in 1877 by William Cecil Slingsby , Hans Reusch and Anfind Vetti.
