Stückbrunn is a district of the municipality of Viereth-Trunstadt in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg .
geography
The village is just under a kilometer from the center of Trunstadt . It is traversed by the Viehbach , which rises in the forest southwest of the village and flows into the Main at Viereth .
history
Stückbrunn was mentioned in a document for the first time in a loan from 1367. The name arose from the names "Stumbrunn" and "Stupprun". The village was part of the municipality of Trunstadt, which was added to the municipality of Viereth in 1978 as part of the municipal reform. In 1980 it was renamed Viereth-Trunstadt.
Worth seeing
After the Second World War , the St. Kunigund chapel was built in-house and inaugurated in 1947. The slate-roofed oval building stands on a hill in the middle of the village. The services are supervised by the Trunstadt parish.
The springs of the "Brunnastum" (well room) in the center of the village gave their water to the castle in Trunstadt for centuries.
