The St. Rupert Pilgrimage Route is a pilgrimage route in Germany and Austria in memory of St. Rupert of Salzburg .

The St. Rupert Pilgrimage Route is connected to the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising , the Diocese of Passau and the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The pilgrimage route runs from Altötting in Germany to Gaden in Waging am See . The first branch of the path leads through the Rupertiwinkel along the old brine pipeline path into the city of Salzburg to the grave of St. Rupert of Salzburg . The second branch leads from Gaden via Laufen an der Salzach / Oberndorf near Salzburg and Sankt Gilgen to Bischofshofen to the Rupertuskreuz .
