The St. Thomas Church is an old Catholic church building in Singen (Hohentwiel) .

history

The church was built in 1864 as the first Protestant church in Singen. It was acquired by the old Catholic parish in 1917 and has been their parish church of St. Thomas ever since .

Architecture and equipment

Design

The St. Thomas Church is a neo-Romanesque hall church with an entrance tower and a gable roof. It is designed as a single room with a single nave without a choir and with an organ gallery on the back. The rectory is attached directly to the church.

organ

The organ was built in 1887 by the Wilhelm Schwarz Orgelbau workshop . The instrument has eight registers distributed over a manual and pedal . The playing and stop actions are mechanical.

Bells

In the tower of St. Thomas Church there is a three-part chime in the motif formation minor third , major second , which corresponds to the beginning of the Te Deum .
