history

The church was built as a three-part Romanesque choir tower church, of which only the tower space and the foundation walls of the nave have been preserved. In 1603 an annex was built in place of the apse , which served as a sacristy . The hall was rebuilt in the 17th century and received a half-hip roof . The year "1668" can be read above the church entrance. In 1859 the windows on the south side of the hall were enlarged. In 1896 the bell storey and the tower roof were renewed by master builder Dietz from Sondershausen. This year can be seen on the tower's weather vane.
