Antonius Church

The listed Lutheran village church of St. Anthony is located off the national roads 1131 and 2671 on a small hill in the district Eicha town Römhild in Hildburghausen in Thuringia .

history

A room on the north side of the church tower has been preserved from the former pilgrimage chapel . The sacristy was added in the 15th century . In the presbytery were found during renovation work in 1971 and 1972 paintings from the 12th century.

Building

The color scheme in the nave is blue and white. The pulpit is richly decorated and is a highlight in the room with its white gold colors. On the south side of the triumphal arch there is a sandstone figure of Saint Anthony .
