St. Georgen in der Klaus is a place and a cadastral community of the statutory town Waidhofen an der Ybbs in Lower Austria .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 166 building areas with 61,565 m² and 74 gardens on 243,131 m² in the cadastral community of St. Georgen in the Klaus, in 1989/1990 there were 163 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 310 and in 2009/2010 there were 206 buildings on 357 building areas.
Agriculture
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 732 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 246 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 682 hectares and 294 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry.
